FAQ
In most cases a referral is not necessary. Many private patients ring us to book an appointment without a referral because they want to make a positive change to their health and lifestyle.
Referrals are only required if your consultation is the result of a Workers Compensation or CTP claim. In these cases a referral from your doctor is required in order for Rural Fit to treat you under the relevant scheme.
If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, your Doctor will have provided you with the appropriate paperwork and all you need to do is bring that paperwork, along with your Medicare card to your initial consultation and we will take care of the rest for you.
Rural Fit has HICAPS and we are accredited with all major health funds. If you are a member of a health fund, you may be entitled to rebates on your treatment with RuralFit, depending on your level of cover. This means if you have Private Health Insurance you can claim your Health Fund Rebate on the spot and pay only a “Gap”.

YES, all Rural Fit staff meet the strict guidelines for full membership and accreditation with all relevant professional associations in Australia. As well as that, all practitioners at Rural Fit are fully accredited with NSW WorkCover, Medicare Australia, Department of Veteran Affairs, CommCare and All Private Health Funds.
You are never too old, or too unfit to start exercise. From young kids through to the elderly, those that hate gyms or love gyms, those that prefer to exercise independently or at home to those that prefer classes and small groups. Success comes from doing things well and regularly and we provide the exercise environment that you choose. Our bright, friendly, open plan clinics are supervised by University trained health professionals who are there to support you at all stages of your exercise journey.
