Do I need a referral to attend your clinic?
In most cases a referral is not necessary. Many private patients ring us to book an appointment without a referral because they want to make a positive change to their health and lifestyle.
Referrals are only required if your consultation is the result of a Workers Compensation or CTP claim. In these cases a referral from your doctor is required in order for Rural Fit to treat you under the relevant scheme.
If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, your Doctor will have provided you with the appropriate paperwork and all you need to do is bring that paperwork, along with your Medicare card to your initial consultation and we will take care of the rest for you.
How can I claim my private health rebate?
Rural Fit now has HICAPS and we are accredited with all major health funds. If you are a member of a health fund, you may be entitled to rebates on your treatment with RuralFit, depending on your level of cover. This means if you have Private Health Insurance you can claim your Health Fund Rebate on the spot and pay only a “Gap”.
For more information, please contact us or your health fund.
